Leaving soon.

We are getting ready for take off! We had our obligatory in-person interviews today at our respective consulates and are expecting the fly out the 13th or 14th of May. About two weeks left, departure is happening faster and faster every day.

Here we go......

Matt and I have found another ("another" because the first job we found fell through in a serious way) job in Gwangju. We found this job via Oxford Seminars, the company we took our TEFL certification through. We are slated to leave around May 15th and are going to be teaching at different schools. Matt will be teaching mostly junior high-high students at Avalon and I will be teaching mostly elementary students at Reading Town. Matt, with his English degree, is highly more qualified than I am with my Art degree. I'm just as happy to teach younger kids, it'll be fun (and challenging).

We're excited! We were hoping to end up in Gwangju because it's an arts-centric city that is metropolitan and urban without being overwhelming and as Western as Seoul. Also, there are rocks near-by.
